By accessing or using BaseRates ("BaseRates," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Informational purpose only

The outputs BaseRates produces — including required growth rates, base-rate percentiles, IRR decompositions, and sensitivity tables — are estimates derived from assumptions you provide and from third-party data. They are tools for analysis, not predictions or guarantees. Historical base rates describe the past and do not predict future results.

2. Data accuracy

Market and financial data are supplied by third parties (including Financial Modeling Prep) and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. We do not independently verify this data and do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

3. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BaseRates and its operators will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including investment or trading losses — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use BaseRates lawfully and not to scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or to other users' data.

6. Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

7. Changes

We may modify the service or these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
